Whilst
staying with us at Brook View House
you will be able to enjoy some of the best recreational
facilities available, including some of Ireland's best coarse Fishing
lakes in the
East Clare Lakelands. Fishing in the area is renowned and a warm
welcome is assured from local Anglers. There are many lakes to choose
from, as well as majestic
Lough Derg, part of the River Shannon system, famous for its
Fly Fishing, cruising and beautiful scenery. Ask for our colourful
angling map and guide. Boats are available for Booking and all you need to
do is ask us. We also provide a tackle room and fresh bait storage for
your convenience.
Golf
is also widely available locally at Bodyke and with 9 of the best Golf courses,
Castletroy, Lahinch, Limerick, Nenagh, Portumna, etc., to mention a few, all
within a 30 km radius.
Pony Trekking,
Horseriding, the
Burren National Park, renowned for its 'lunar landscape', fauna, flora and
wildlife is just 60 minutes away.
Connemara
is just a little further, while 15 minutes away is the ancient Treaty
City of Limerick sited on one of Europe's finest rivers, the River Shannon.
Limerick is a proud, progressive and thriving City with a charter older than
that of London. Its castles, ancient walls and museums are testament to
its dramatic past. Particularly worth viewing is King John's Castle in its
Heritage precinct and the magnificent Hunt Museum in Limerick's Custom House.
This museum houses an internationally important collection of some 2,000
original works including pieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Renoir and Picasso.
To our west lies world famous Bunratty Castle, famous for
its
Medieval Banquets and Folk Park with the plush Dromoland Castle close by.
Visit the ancient historic settlement of Cragganowen just 6 km away.
